Hi :-),

we are using an OpenServer 6 and we have some trouble with it.

In a 192.168.48/20 network our OpenServer has the address
192.168.48.2. Everything works fine expect of the situation that a
client gets the adress 192.168.56.255 or 192.168.57.0 from the DHCP
Server (Range 192.168.56.0 - 192.168.57.255). The client is not able
to connect or to ping the server, everything else works fine.

Is there anyone with an idea out there?

Thanks,
Patrick

My SWAG would be an incorrect netmask. The netmask for a /20
CIDR would be be 255.255.240.0, but the range you give above is
for a /23 block, 192.168.56.0/23, with netmask 255.255.254.0.

Do other non-SCO dhcp clients work properly? If they do, that
would indicate that the dhcpd server is configured properly.
